The Faculty of Humanities Koper at the University of Primorska
The Faculty of Humanities Koper at the University of Primorska offers both undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses as well as engaging in scientific and specialist activities in the field of humanities, arts and social studies. The Faculty enjoys the advantage of being situated in the coastal area bordering on Italy and Croatia, providing the potential for drawing on positive cultural and economic influences. Alongside the Institute for Intercultural Studies also the faculty's department of anthropology is actively involved in the Bridge project.
The activities of the Institute for Intercultural Studies of the Faculty of humanities Koper are oriented into basic and applicative research in the fields of linguistics, literary sciences, cultural and media studies, anthropology, historical anthropology and philosophy with special emphasis on interethnical and intercultural aspects and questions concerning relations between ethnic identities, language, literature and culture. Besides that the institute is involved in expert counselling, education, organizing expert and scientific meetings, publishing and librarianship.
